3 Things I Want Every Client to Know Before a Reading with Me

If you’ve never had a mediumship reading before, it can feel mysterious… emotional… maybe even a little intimidating.

You might wonder:

What if I cry?

What if something scary comes through?

What if the person I hope to hear from doesn’t show up?

After reading for hundreds of people, there are three things I deeply wish every client knew before they sit down with me.

Because mediumship isn’t meant to feel scary or heavy.

It’s meant to feel healing.

Here’s what I want you to know.

1. It’s safe to cry during a reading

Truly, completely safe.

Mediumship readings are emotional experiences.

You’re connecting with people you love. Memories surface. Old grief softens. Sometimes relief washes through all at once.

Tears happen.

And they are welcome here.

Crying isn’t weakness or embarrassment, it’s release.

It’s your nervous system letting go.

It’s your heart opening.

It’s grief moving instead of staying stuck.

Some of the most beautiful, healing moments I’ve witnessed have happened through tears.

So please don’t apologize for them.

You never need to “hold it together” with me.

My space is calm, grounded, and judgment-free.

You get to feel exactly what you feel.

2. Your loved ones are at peace

This one matters so much.

Hollywood and ghost stories have created this idea that spirits get “stuck,” trapped, or lingering in low vibrations.

That is not what I experience as a medium.

Over and over again, what I see and feel is this:

Your loved ones are okay.

More than okay, they are peaceful.

Light. Clear. Whole.

They don’t feel lost or trapped.

They feel expanded, loving, and deeply aware of you.

When they come through in a reading, it’s not because they’re suffering or need help crossing over.

It’s because they want to visit.

They choose connection.

They show up with warmth, humor, personality, and love, not heaviness.

Most sessions feel less like “hauntings” and more like:

“Oh my gosh… that’s exactly them.”

It feels familiar. Gentle. Comforting.

Like sitting with someone you haven’t seen in a long time.

3. Spirit can come through even if you weren’t close in life

This surprises people all the time.

Clients will say:

“I wasn’t that close with them… they won’t come through…”

Here’s the thing, relationships look different from the spirit side.

Sometimes a grandparent steps forward because they quietly watched over you your whole life.

Sometimes an uncle, cousin, or friend shows up because they simply want to say hello.

Sometimes someone comes through to offer healing or closure that never happened while they were alive.

Connection doesn’t always depend on how close you were physically or emotionally here.

Spirit works through love, not proximity.

If someone steps forward, there’s usually a reason — even if it takes a moment to understand why. And often, those unexpected connections end up being the most meaningful.

A gentle reminder

Mediumship isn’t about fear or the unknown.

It’s about love continuing.

It’s about reassurance.

It’s about healing the places in your heart that thought they had to carry everything alone.

When you sit with me, you’re not stepping into something dark or heavy.

You’re stepping into a safe, grounded, compassionate space where connection is possible.

You don’t have to perform.

You don’t have to be strong.

You just have to show up as you are.

And we let Spirit do the rest….
